Syed Razi Nasif, pursued his higher education in the United Kingdom. Having obtained his Bachelor of Laws (LLB Hon’s) and Master of Laws (LLM) degrees from the University of the West of England, Bristol (UWE Bristol); he completed his Post-Graduate Diploma in Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) from one of the prestigious Russell Group universities in the UK, the Cardiff University. He was later called to the Bar of England and Wales as a Barrister of the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn, UK.
Since coming back to Bangladesh, Mr. Razi got enrolled as an Advocate with the Bangladesh Bar Council after successfully passing the enrollment exams and was given license to practice law throughout Bangladesh. He subsequently went on to become a member of the Dhaka Bar Association where he gained considerable legal knowledge at the District and Sessions Judges’ Court, Dhaka and became well acquainted and conversant with the prevailing laws of the country. More recently, Mr. Razi also obtained permission to appear before the High Court Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh and officially became an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh.
After joining The Legal Circle, Mr. Razi has gathered significant experience in providing legal opinions; drafting miscellaneous civil applications and writ petitions; vetting corporate business documents and contracts; preparing due diligence reports; client handling, negotiations and liaison. At TLC, he has also developed substantial expertise in providing litigation support and conducting extensive legal research for his seniors at the firm. He routinely liaises with state regulators and government departments and keeps the firm up-to-date with practical and procedural matters of law and regulations.
